Faced with a electoral defeat, chief minister Virbhadra Singh hurriedly convened a cabinet meet and recommended dissolution of the state assembly to pave the way for the new government to take over.
Ravi Dingra, chief secretary told my Himachal News, that the cabinet met to discuss transition of power process and has recommended dissolution of the state assembly. The cabinet resolution has been sent to the governor for further action, said Dingra
Besides the chief minister, the cabinet meeting was attended by power minister Vidya Stokes and animal husbandary minister Harsh Mahajan.
However the governor office, said that no cabinet recommendation to dissolve the house had been received till 6 p.m.
