Shimla:The congress party has asked the Election Commission to reconsider its decision of canceling the candidature of Bodh Raj, the congress candidate for Gangat seat in Kangra district after his papers were first held to be valid or countermand the election for the seat.
Kuldeep Rathore, party spokesman said that the congress has not been given enough opportunity to represent its case in the matter. “The election commission should either review its decision or countermand the election for Gangat seat,†he said.
After canceling the congress candidates papers for the Gangat seat, the party is left contesting on 64 of the 65 seats.
