Shri Renuka Ji fair begins

mela3.jpgmela.jpgRenuka Ji, Sirmour: Thousands of people with voices of Jai Parshuram, Jai Maa Renuka Ji, drums, & other traditional music instruments took the Shobha Yatra (religious procession) of Lord Parshuram from Dadahu School ground to Shri Renuka Ji.

Principal secretary of Himachal Pradesh Shri Ashok Thakur who arrived here this afternoon paid his obeisance to the palanquin of Lord Parshuram & other deities in the ground & walked with the palanquins during the Shobha Yatra, the largest procession of the district Sirmour after Shobha yatra entred Dadahu market.

People throng from the various states of northern India reciting the holy names of Lord Parshuram & Maa Renuka & danced on the religious lyrics with traditional musical instruments, showing their devotion to Lord Parshuram & Mata Renuka.

After concluding of the Shobha Yatra the palanquin of Lord Parshuram & other deities has been kept in the ancient temple of Lord Parshuram situated on the banks of Shri Parshuram Taal for the paying of obeisance by devotees.

mela2.jpgrenukaji-mela.jpgPrincipal secretary also inaugurated developmental exhibitions on the Mela Ground. On the banks of Renuka Lake religious functions, reciting of Shri MadBhagvat Katha & Chanting of Ved Mantras are going on uninterruptedly.

People in large numbers are taking holy dip in the Shri Renuka ji Lake, however holy dip on the occasion of Devprobodhini Eikadashi (a special day earmarked for paying obeisance to God) will start in the wee hours on November 21st, Wednesday. More then two lakh devotes are expected to reach the fair tomorrow.
