A level playing field to all political parties would be ensured in the ensuing elections, the election commission has stated.
All political parties would be allotted public grounds for electioneering purposes as well as for providing landing and take off facilities for helicopters at the various places where helipads were available, an Election Commission spokesperson said.
Political functionaries who want to utilize the facility of helipads owned by other authorities like the army and ITBP, a first come first serve basis would be observed by the district magistrate, a spokesperson of the election department stated. The district magistrates would have to maintain a record of request about using these facilities would have to be maintained, he added.
Regarding allotment of venues for holding public meetings, the police authorities would need to be informed well in advance. All concerned District Magistrates will also bring this to the notice of all the contesting candidates and political parties said the spokesman.
The election department has constituted a state level grievances committed headed by the chief electoral officer, Manisha Nanda and two other members. This committee would entertain complaints or grievances of any political party, candidates or any other person regarding election advertisement on television, cable network or radio-Video, he added.
