Shimla: Dr. Sulakshana Puri, Project Director, H.P. State AIDs Control Society said that ‘Red Ribbon Club’ would be set up in all the Departments of the State for control of HIV/AIDs disease and to create awareness among the people about the dreaded disease in the State.
Presiding over the concluding training workshop on HIV/AIDs, Dr. Puri said that a nodal Officer had been appointed for setting up of Red Ribbon Club in every Department who would coordinate between State AIDs Control Society and Departmental officers for the purpose. She said that it has also been decided that State-wide campaign for control of the disease would also be started with the cooperation of Departments, NGOs, PRIs and other voluntary organizations for control of the disease in the State.
