NIT registrars meet start in Hamirpur.
While inaugurating a two days national level conference of the Registrars of the National Institutes Technologies of India (NIT’s) , Dr. R.L.Chauhan , the Chairman of Board of Governors of NIT, Hamirpur lauded the role of the Registrars in the smooth functioning of the institutions. He said that while the main role of the Directors of the Institutions was to ensure overall supervision of the institution, the rest of responsibilities laid on the Registrars. He said that Registrars had to play effective roles to make the institutions a well run organizations.
Chauhan also stressed the need for holding of such conferences in future also for the betterment of the institutions and their staff.
The first ever two days meet that started here with the optimism that the new act of the NIT would help them to improve their position and they would be able to play a major and effective role in the administration of the institutes. The conference would end at Manali tomorrow.
Registrars from twelve out of twenty NIT’s of India are taking part in the conference.
Dr. I.K.Bhat, the Director of Hamirpur NIT welcomed the guests and stressed the need for making this important office more effective and viable. He said that such meetings and conferences would help to take decisions for the well being of the entire community.
