Today Mandi city celebrated “Veer Sainik Mahotsav “. This festival is celebrated in Mandi in memory of Late. Capt Prem Singh.
Capt Prem Singh (1st July 1936 – 9 march 2007) got Vir Chakra for 1965 Indo-Pak war. He had a dream to celebrate this event on today but due to his early demise his son Laksyender organized the 
event and 
pledged to organise it every year in future.
Veteran freedom fighter Gauri Prashad of Mandi (106 Yrs. Old) was chief guest for the event.
