BADDI: Panacea Biotec has inaugurated its Greenfield construction Vaccine Formulation Plant (VFP) here today. The plant has been commissioned with several filling lines for bacterial and viral vaccines complying with WHO , cGMP norms for liquid vaccines in pre-filled syringes, liquid & lyophilized vaccines in vials. The total production capacity of this facility would be one billion doses per annum. Mr. Soshil Kumar Jain the company Chairman inaugurated the plant.
Speaking during occasion , Mr. Kumar said that the new world class facility has been designed, constructed and approved for the production of filling lines of bacterial and viral combination vaccines. He said the unit would increase our production capacity of vaccines substantially in scale and size. It would significantly improve our market presence globally and augment our plans to become a global leader in this field, he asserted.
The new plant has three-story production block. The production floor has non-metallic modular panels for partitioning in the critical area having walk able ceiling for easy maintenance of supply ends for utilities, clean air and lighting system. The plant also has a two-story block of warehouse-cum-cold storage facility.
Panacea Biotec also unveiled its new corporate identity during occasion. The new identity displays a pole star and tag-line-innovation in support of life. Speaking on new identity, Mr. Rajesh Jain, Joint Managing Director said that we have traveled a long way and after having established ourselves as a leading, research based, health care company, now we aiming to become a global organization. He said we aspire to create an innovative, world class health care company, to be respected and quoted for its values, culture and success. This needed a different perception about the company and here we are with our new identity, he added
The occasion also marked the annual day celebrations of Panacea Biotec that is one of India’s leading research-based health management companies with established research, manufacturing and marketing capabilities. It is 2nd largest vaccine producer in India. The company has been ranked as the 3rd largest biotechnology Company (ABLE Survey 2007) and is also amongst the top 50 pharmaceutical companies in India. The Company has collaborations and tie-ups with leading national and international research organizations and corporations.
