Inmate of Nahan Jail caught from Haryana

NAHAN: Mr J. P. Singh, Superintendent of Police Sirmour disclosed here today that one inmate of Model Central Jail Nahan who did not return to the Jail even after two years and eight months after expiring his payroll period of 21 days was caught at Ballabhgarh in Haryana by Sirmour Police and was brought to Nahan today.

SP said that inmate Deeen Mohammad resident of Hatheen, district Mewat in Haryana was under going ten years imprisonment in Nahan Jail in a case under NDPS Act. He was caught at Mandi with one KG of Charas in 2001 and was awarded ten years imprisonment by the court. Deen Mohammad was released on payroll for 21 days on January 24, 2005 but did not return even after expiry of two years and eight months. Sirmour Police was in search of him.

Yesterday, police received information regarding presence of the prisoner in Ballabhgarh, a police team was dispatched which nabbed the inmate. A case had been registered in this regard.
