NAHAN: Angry over the inaction of Kala Amb police residents of Devni Panchyat blocked traffic at the Salani bridge near Moginand village and blocked Chandigarh – Nahan –Dehra Dun National highway for over one and half hour.
Villagers including Panchyat representatives of Devni Panchyat shouted slogans against Kala Amb police and alleged that police did not took any action against the nearly one dozen assailants of Haryana who came on four bikes and one car and fled after thrashing two youths of Devni village last night.
Villagers charged that they had nabbed two assailants and haded over them to Kala Amb Police but inspite of taking any action against them Kala Amb police had come to visit the spot in the car used by the assailants.
After police officers who reached on the spot from Nahan assured action against the assailants the residents lifted road blocked after one and half hour. A large number of vehicles were stranded on the both side of road.
