Himachal CM to Inaugurate First Academic Session of Engineering college at Baru Sahib

u_l.jpgNAHAN: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Vir Bhadra Singh, will inaugurate the first academic session of the Akal College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) at Baru Sahib, tomorrow.

Being run by Kalgidhar Trust ACET is affiliated to the Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, U.S. and offers B. Tech. programs in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science and Information Technology. All the 240 seats of ACET have already been filled. Himachal students have been allotted the benefit of 188 seats, while about 30 seats are reserved for the Management and remaining to be filled by central quota.

The Kalgidhar Trust also envisages an ambitious plan of establishing one University and a Nursing college at Baru Sahib, the trust is also running 23 Rural Academies in North India with nearly twenty thousand students on its role.
