We are currently looking for a project co-ordinator to strategically manage this exciting project. You will be fluent in English and Hindi, computer literate, have experience in managing an NGO, enjoy teamwork, be computer literate, able to write applications and reports in English. You will be able to operationally manage a small but multidimensional project with 7 staff and be able to think strategically. Specific experience in community health is not obligatory but would be an asset.

Background
Jibhi Chai is an integrated community health project affiliated to Lady Willingdon Hospital Manali. The project is based in temperate Jibhi – a beautiful and small village in the outer Saraj valley in Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh. Although focused on health the programme functions as a community development project and its principles are : to work in partnership with communities, to work in culturally appropriate manner, to respond to needs as we find them and to integrate each branch of the project to the others.
Currently the project sees outpatients, has occasional surgical camps, trains and supports a network of 16 women health workers, runs home based care for disabled village children, runs a child health focus and is just embarking on a community nutrition programme. Each branch of the project builds on each other.

The ‘remuneration’ package for this project coordinator role would be dependent on the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications but would be along the lines of Rs9 – 11 000 per month with accommodation supplied at Jibhi itself.
