chaiaspeaker.JPGMr. Gangu Ram Musafir, Speaker Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha said that a ‘Vision 2015’ document was being prepared to make Pacchad Assembly segment one of the most developed are in the state. The document would incorporate vision of Himachal Nirmata Dr Y. S. Parmar for the total upliftment of villages and villagers. Dr Parmar was son of Pacchad, he hailed from the Chanalag village of Pacchad area.

He claimed that 95 percent achievements have been made in achieving development targets which were fixed for the development of Paccchad segment in 1982 when he was elected to the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha from this constituency for the first time. He disclosed that to start second phase of development in the area with the suggestions of residents of this constituency a committee of local leaders and intellectuals was being constituted very shortly.

The committee would discuss different aspects of document ‘Vision 2015’ with all sections of society in the area and play a major role in drafting this ‘historic document’ to decide development process and fix targets of development for Pacchad to be achieved before 2015. Every resident of Pacchad constituency would be welcomed without considering his political affiliation to participate in such discussions to be organized in every part of the area to gather public suggestions. Mr. Musafir said that this document would be prepared till the end of this year.

It is pertinent to mention here that in the history of Sirmour district it would be the first occasion that such vision document would be prepared for the development of an assembly constituency and that too with the participation and suggestions of local residents who would decide their priorities of development as per their requirements and in future no unwanted scheme would be forced on them by any agency without their consent.
