New Delhi: Kaul Singh Thakur, Irrigation and Public Health Minister informed that MoU would be signed soon between Himachal Pradesh and Delhi Chief Ministers regarding construction of Renuka Dam in order to provide drinking water to Delhi. He informed this after meeting Mrs. Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister Delhi here today.
He said that Delhi Government would bear the expenses for the purpose and added that matters of mutual interests were discussed in the meeting. He said that construction of Renuka Dam would be completed within the fixed time frame and added that drinking water would be provided to Delhi before Commonwealth Games. He said that Mrs. Dixit assured of full cooperation for solving the issues of common interest.
Yesterday Himachal CM Virbhadra Singh met Delhi CM.
