Former Governor of Himachal Pradesh Dr. Hokishe Sema passed away at Dimapur in Nagaland yesterday

V.S. Kokje, Governor and Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister have expressed grief over the sad demise of Dr. Hokishe Sema, former Governor of Himachal Pradesh who passed away at Dimapur in Nagaland yesterday. In his condolence message, Kokje, said that Dr. Hokishe had contributed a lot during his tenure as Governor of Himachal Pradesh from April 1983 to March 1986. He worked for the betterment of the people of Nagaland where he served as Chief Minister besides as Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly for six times. He was also a former Member of Rajya Sabha and contributed a lot in raising the issues of people of Nagaland at national level.

Virbhadra Singh, in his condolence message said that people of the State would always remember the contribution of Dr. Hokishe Sema during his tenure as Governor and his demise was a great loss. He said that Dr. Hokishe Sema was a leader of masses and had contributed towards the development of Nagaland.

Governor and Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
