Himachal to concentrate on Tunneling for reducing the distances

Tunneling would be the next phase State Government had envisioned for reducing the distances after the State obtained full road connectivity of all the villages in the State. This was stated by Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister while addressing a public meeting at Amb in Chintpurni assembly segment of district Una on 15th day of his Winter Sojourn to the lower areas of the State after he dedicated Chak Sarai Augumented Water Supply Scheme completed at a cost of Rs. 104.88 lakh benefiting 12 villages, laid foundation stone of Water Supply Scheme Jawar-Lahar-Langiyana to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 73.21 lakh and Nandpur-Thathhul-Phase-I to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 116.32 lakh, today, besides dedicating the new college building of Maharana Pratap Government Degree College, Amb completed at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore to the students of the college.

Chief Minister announced upgradation of two Sr. Sec. Schools and took over the 95 percent aided High Schools of Takarla and Churarv, two middle schools for the areas.

Chief Minister also honoured Head constable Shri Manmohan Singh of Himachal Police.
