Himachal announces DA relief for employees-pensioners

Shimla: Chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today announced grant of 5 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) for all state government employees from July, 2009 that is to be paid in October.

He also announced grant of 11 per cent DA to the pensioners, 6 per cent from 1st January, 2009 and 5 percent from 1st July, 2009 to be paid in the month of October, 2009.

The government was committed for the welfare of its employees and was considerate towards any genuine demand or problems,” he said.

The government has released the DA to its employees on enhanced rates, even though the Punjab Government was yet to release it, he added.
