Kolkata, July 2 (IANS) State-run Coal India Limited (CIL), the world’s largest producer of coal, Tuesday said it produced 32.57 million tonnes in the month of June against the target of 35.23 million tonnes.
The Kolkata-based firm produced 102.87 million tonnes (mt) of coal during April to June this year, missing the target of 106.88 mt, Coal India said in filing to BSE.
The coal behemoth’s offtake in the last month stood at 37.09 mt against the month’s target of 39.85 mt.
Coal offtake during the first three months of the current fiscal stood at 115.25 mt against the target of 120.79 mt, the company said.
