New Delhi, June 7 (IANS) It was a cloudy, pleasant Friday morning in the national capital with minimum temperature settling at 25.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below average for this time of year.
The met office has forecast thundery developments with light rain later in the day.
“The sky will remain partly cloudy. Thundery development and light rain is expected in some parts of the city later in the day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
According to IMD, from Thursday evening 5.30 p.m. till 8.30 a.m. Friday, the city had recorded 15 mm rainfall.
“The maximum temperature Friday is expected to hover around 41 degrees Celsius,” the official said.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 70 percent.
Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 43.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above average for this time of year, while the minimum was two notches above average at 25.7 degrees.
