Bhubaneswar, May 28 (IANS) The southwest monsoon may arrive in Odisha as per schedule by June 15, an official here said Tuesday, bringing some relief to the state from the blistering heat.
“We are expecting a normal monsoon. It may arrive in Odisha by June 15,” S.K. Dastidar, director in-charge of the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, told IANS.
“The monsoon arrived in the Andaman region May 24. It appeared favourable for its further advancement. We expect it to arrive in Kerala June 3,” he said.
