New Delhi, May 23 (IANS) The maximum temperature in Delhi touched 45.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday, the highest for the month of May in the last 10 years, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
This is six notches above average. The second highest temperature recorded in the month of May was when the mercury touched 45.4 degrees Celsius in 2010.
The minimum temperature early Thursday settled five notches above average at 31.4 degrees Celsius.
