Singapore, April 24 (IANS) Singapore’s National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan Tuesday attended a function to celebrate the festival of Vishu that marks the new year of the Malayalis.
Khaw attended the function at Sembawang in the northern part of this city where 500 ethnic Malayalis from his own constituency were also present, media reported.
Khaw lit candles, watched performances of folk dances and had lunch at the event.
