Shimla: Police late yesterday arrested one Mukesh on rape charges after a girl from Shimla lodged a complaint.
Accused Mukesh was arrested late in the evening yesterday, police said.
The girl had lodged a complaint with the police that accused raped her in a hotel in the city.
Acting on the complaint, the accused stands arrested and case under sections 363, 366, 376, 420, 506 and 120B under Indian Penal Code has been registered, a police spokesman from city Sadar Police station said.
