Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health and Ayurveda Minister said that blood bank unit of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla will be soon developed as an independent department. Lauding the efforts of the Sant Nirankari Mission in the field of blood donation, he said that Himachal Pradesh was one of the four best States of the country with regard to voluntary blood donation.
He further said that the health facilities were being strengthened in the State while Tanda Medical College was also being developed at par with IGMC and100 crores were being spent for providing modern health facilities. He informed that the recruitment process of Paramedical Staff and Nurses will be started soon and the salaries for Doctors providing their services in the remote and rural areas would be increased.
