Shimla : Lions at the Renuka lion’s safari sanctuary in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district are being fed stale and decomposed mutton .
Officials on Thursday examined 19 kg of meat for the lions and found 11 kg unfit for animal consumption .
Three times earlier also the food for lions was found stale , reports said .
The food for lions is outsourced to a private contractor . A lion had died recently at the sanctuary .
The Renuka lions safari some 150 km from Shimla is located at the edge of the Renuka lake is a popular tourist spot .
