Shimla : The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh received light to moderate snowfall Wednesday , while the mid and lower hills experienced rainfall breaking the long dry spell in the hill state .
The higher reaches of Lahaul , Spiti , Kinnaur , Bharmaur , Dodra Kwar were covered under a fresh blanket of snow . The Hatu peak overlooking Narkanda received the season’s first snowfall.
The Rohtang pass and the seven sisters peaks in the Kullu valley received moderate snowfall .
But there was only rain in the popular resort towns of Shimla , Manali , Kufri , Narkanda , Chail , Kasauli among other places .
Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 C .
The weather man has forecast wet weather at most places of the state until Friday .
