BADDI: A two day seminar on Red Hat Linux & Oracle 9i concluded at Engineering at Institute of Engineering & Emerging Technologies, Baddi today. Around 300 students of department of Computer Science and Engineering attended the seminar.
The seminar was addressed by Mr. Angshuman, Manager, learning services of Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Vaneet Kumar, Business Developed Officer EON InfoTech Limited, Chandigarh.
Mr. Angshuman gave presentation to aware the students about Linux. He told the students about open source culture and compared the advantage of open source and proprietary software. He motivated the students to start working on open source software’s.
Mr. Vaneet Kumar detailed about Oracle (9i) and told the students about the database management systems, role of DBA in an organization and how to install Oracle (9i) on Red Hat Linux operating system.
Earlier, Dr.R.C.Bahl Principal of IEET while inaugurating the seminar said that students should keep themselves informed about the latest computer technologies.
