Four killed, one seriously injured in Truck accident at Sangrah

NAHAN:

Four persons were killed three of them on the spot and one person was critically injured when a Truck [HP 51- 3277] fell into about 500 meter deep gorge near Sangrah about 70 K.M. from here around 11.45 P.M. last night.

The ill fated Truck was on its way to Sangrah from Mandoli village when its driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve near Sangrah telephone exchange resultantly vehicle fell into around 500 meter deep gorge.

As per Renuka police sources Kundia [48] and Satpal [30] both resident of Mandoli village and Baldev [17] resident of Khala Kyar died on the spot while Hari Ram [38] resident of Badon village succumbed to his injuries on way to Hospital. Driver of Truck Yash Pal [30] resident of Badon [Dadahu] was critically injured and has been shifted to PGI Chandigarh.

Till this morning there was no information about Baldev as whether he was traveling in the truck or not. In the morning when his family members and friends reported that he was also traveling in the same ill fated Truck a hunt was launched for him in the bushes. His dead body was found on a steep slop under the bushes. As per information Sangrah Police and Mr. J. C. Sharma, Tehsildar Sangrah had reached on the spot immediately along with local residents to launch rescue operations. Tehsildar disbursed emergency relief to the injured and kin of deceased person in Sangrah Primary Health centre last night.
