The State Government would provide ample opportunities to the State employees to upgrade their professional skills and arrange training programmes periodically. This was stated by Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister to the representatives of various Associations of officers and officials of the Animal Husbandry and Ayurveda Departments in a High-level meeting held here today.
Chief Minister said that his Government had constituted Joint Consultative Committees to discuss problems of all categories of employees with the top Government officers across the table to find out mutual solution to their genuine grievances. He said that the Chief Secretary of the State had been heading the JCC meeting while the office bearers of all the recognized Associations had also been representing their respective organizations during such meetings. He said that such a forum had been created by his Government to provide platform to the employees to raise issues of their interest. He said that it was a step towards maintenance of best cordial relations with the employees and efforts to provide them relief in terms of financial and promotional avenues. He said that it was under his Chief Ministership that the State employees were delivered best of the benefits and close relations maintained with them. He said that his Government would not leave any effort undone to deliver best of the benefits to its employees.
Virbhadra Singh said that his Government had also constituted Joint Consultative Committee for the State pensioners and provided a platfarm for them to apprise the Government about their genuine problems. He said that the State Government was indebted to the retirees who had dedicated their entire life to serve the people and contributed significantly towards the development of the State. He said that his Government still welcomed the valuable suggestions made by the retirees who had acquired vast experience during their services .
Chief Minister said that Rajiv Gandhi Government P.G. Ayurveda College, Paprola in district Kangra was emerging as a prestigious research and education center in the ancient Ayurveda system of medicines and exhaustive research work was in progress. He said that the college would be instrumental in revival of the traditional Ayurvedic system and regain the confidence of the people in Ayurveda system. He said that the admission to the college was also being made on the PMT basis so that best talent was admitted to undertake the ayurvedic studies at the college. He said that latest technological advancements were also being added to the available infrastructures of the college so that young doctors were fully equipped with the ancient and modern techniques.
Virbhadra Singh said that the pay anomalies of left out categories were being examined by the State Anomalies Committee and positive outcome was expected in the near future so that no employee was deprived of his legitimate right. He directed the authorities to give a patient hearing to the genuine grievances of the employees and put in their best efforts to deliver them justice and relief.
Chief Minister appealed to the employees to maintain discipline, adhere to the rules and regulations, follow the civil services and conduct rules, maintain best working atmosphere at their work places and serve the people of the State dedicatedly. He said that the employees were the backbone of the Government and needed to function with neutrality and in the interest of the people so that the State could attain new heights on all fronts and emerge as source of inspiration for rest of the States. He said them that his Government was committed to the welfare of its employees and best benefits delivered to them from time to time.
