Shimla: Launching Natural Apple Juice in Slim Tetrapack here today, Himchal Pradesh CM said that the Corporation has already introduced fruit based products of Apple, Mango, Orange Kinnow, Litchi, Strawberry, Kiwi etc. in Tetrapacks, brick as well as in slim packs under the brand names of Apple Tapple, Ditto Apple, Ditto Mango, Ditto Orange-Kinnow, Ditto Litchi, Ditto Strawberry, Ditto Kiwi, Mango Nectar, 100% Apple Juice besides Apple Tea. He said that the Corporation has now made available Natrual Apple Juice in 200 ML Slim Packs. He further said that the Apple Juice presently being manufactured and marketed by HPMC in Tetrapack under the brand name of Apple Tapple was reconstituted from Apple Juice Concentrate. The Natural Apple Juice now being introduced in slim Tetrapack is Natual and free from an additives and preservatives, he added. He also lauded the efforts of Board of Directors, HPMC and Managing Director, HPMC for bringing the Corporation into profit and due to their dedicated and renewed zeal HPMC is today known for its quality products in other States also.
Chief Minister said that HPMC was established with a view to facilitate marketing and processing of fruits and vegetables to help the farmers in getting remunerative prices of their produce. He said that it has a chain of 11 packing/Grading houses covering the entire fruit producing area of the State with a total installed capacity of 39,000 MT. Five Packing/Grading Houses are having cold storage facilities of 1000 MT, he added. He said that the Corporation has also set up cold storage facilities in the terminal markets at Parwanu, 3000 MT, Delhi, 4250 MT, Mumbai, 2250 MT and Chennai, 2000 MT, He told that HPMC has its two Fruit Processing Plants at Parwanu in Solan and Jarol in Mandi district and also has a plant at Jabli in Solan district and added that in these plants nearly 50 different products were being processed which have found popular market in all nooks and corners of the country and even abroad.
