Kullu: Manasvi Noel, Miss India Canada 2015 today visited Soel village in the valley here in her campaign to make women aware about their health and hygiene.
The beauty pageant winner found an equal match in the scenic beauty of mountains and the valley.
Ms Manasvi Noel in collaboration of Himachal Pradesh Mahila Kalyan Mandal ( HPMK) met more than 200 rural women at Soel and talked about health and hygiene awareness, especially that related to menstruation hygiene. Yesterday she was at Sairopa village in Banjar valley where she about 150 women.
Manasvi let the media know that was a humanitarian and a feminist. One of her aims was to work for the progress and benefit of the underprivileged, especially women. She also wants to spread Mental Health Awareness. Noel accepted that she has been very much influenced by the natural beauty of hilly state and she appreciated beautiful scenic views of valley.
Shalini Vatsa Kimta, secretary National Association for Blind, appreciated Noel for her work. “HPMK has always worked for the upliftment of weaker and underprivileged section of society whether it is women, or specially abled children,” she said
Manasvi Noel was crowned Miss India Canada on August 15, 2015 by Priety Zinta in Toronto, Canada.
