The Governor of Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat awared seven personalities with national integration awards, at a state level ceremony in Shimla. The ceremony was organised by the Himotkarsh Sahayat Sanskriti avum Jan Kalyan Parishad (HSSAJK), and was presided over by Chief Editor of Punjab Kesri group, Padam Shri Vijay Chopra.
In this ceremony the bureau chief of PTI in Jammu Anil Bhat was felicitated with the Amar Shaheed Lala Jagat Nararyan memorial award for excellence in journalism. The award is in the memory of the founder of Punjab Kesri group, Lala Jagat Narayan, who was shot down my militants in 1981, in Punjab.
Mr. Vijay Chopra on this occasion gave his heartiest congratulations to all the award winners, and a appreciated the efforts of Himotkarsh Sahayat Sanskriti avum Jan Kalyan Parishad (HSSAJK) for organizing the function so well.
The HSSAJK has also set up the Lala Jagat Nagayan Himotkarsh Kanya Mahavidyalay, where five hundred and thirty girls are given free lodging, boarding and education.
