Dharamsala: A doctor pursuing his post-graduation course at Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda, Dr Piyush died in a road accident on Wednesday (30.11.2022) night near Kangra .
SP Kangra said that an unknown vehicle hit the two-wheeler scooty of Dr. Piyush. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled from the accident site.
Dr. Piyush, who was a PG student in the ENT Department, was driving scooty No. MH36AH 4137 died on the spot and Dr. Indira who was sitting behind on the scooty was injured and admitted to the medical college.
Police said that a case under section 279, 337, 304(A) of IPC was registered. To identify the unknown vehicle, the police also examining CCTV footage of the area.
The Resident Doctors Association of Medical College Tanda has demanded the police administration to arrest the accused driver immediately.
