Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Examination here today declared the results of the 10th Class Examination and out of a total of 90,375 students who took the board examination, 78,573 students (87.5%) were declared to have passed, while 1409 were placed under compartment.
Chairman of the board Dr Suresh Soni stated, “77 students have been placed in the top 10 merit positions and among them 67 are girls.”
Of the 77 merit positions, 66 have been secured by private schools and the remaining 11 by government schools, said Soni.
The first position in the merit was shared by Ms Priyanka of Sarswati Vidya Mandir, Tattapani in Mandi district and Ms Devangi Sharma of Anglo Sanskrit Model Sr Sec School Mandi, both have obtained 693 (99%) marks.
The 2nd position was secured by Aditya Sankhyaan, a boy from t ghe of Sarswati Vidya Mandir School Hatwar of Bilaspur district with 692 (98’86%) marks and third position is shared by two girls Ms Anshul Thakur of Sarswati Vidya Mandir Mohin of Mandi district and Ms Siya Thakur of MML Public School Jalgran of Una district with 691 (98.71%) marks
Soni said that the board’s result of class 10th was 63.39% in 2017-18, 60.79% in 2018-19 and 68.11% in 2019-20. During the Covid period in 2021-22 all the students were promoted in accordance with the government’s policy decision.
