Manali: A tourist car crashed while overtaking inside Atal Tunnel Rohtang. The car passengers suffered minor injuries.
On Saturday, a car of tourists from Delhi was going towards North Portal via Atal Tunnel. Then he tried to overtake by going to the second line inside the tunnel. The car went out of control and hit one wall of the tunnel and hit the wall on the other side.

Superintendent of Police Kullu Gurdev Sharma said that the tourist vehicle was overtaking at high speed. During this, the car skidded inside the tunnel and crashed. The people on board suffered minor injuries. The police have taken action and deducted a challan of Rs 13500.
With the weather getting chillingly cold Atal tunnel highway has been blocked for tourist movement beyond Solang valley as it has been snowing in Lahaul valley. Tourist vehicles are allowed only up to Solang, 13 km from Manali. However, non-tourist vehicles (local residents) are being allowed to go to Atal tunnel and Lahaul.
