Dharamshala: The family of Covid infected patients undergoing treatment at the zonal hospital Dharamshala will now be informed about the condition of the patient, twice a day via telephone. For this the helpline desk has also been established in the zonal hospital. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that helpline number 01892-229641 has been issued for the convenience of family members.

Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said, “ The family members can also get information about the health of the Covid infected patients through the helpline number. This service has been started in Covid Hospital Dharamshala from Wednesday, in which information shall be provided in detail about the oxygen level and other health-related improvements of the infected patients based on the report of the doctors. Now the other Covid Care Hospitals set up in the district have also been given necessary guidelines to start such a facility, so that the family members of the infected person does not have to face any problems regarding their health.”
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that the administration is fully prepared to deal with Covid infection in Kangra district for which sufficient oxygen and necessary medicines are made available in the district. He said that proper food is also being made available for the patients, undergoing treatment in Covid Hospitals.
Prajapati said that beds capacity is also being increased in hospitals for proper care of Covid patients in Kangra district. He said that control rooms have been set up at the district headquarters as well as at the sub-divisional level and regular monitoring is also being ensured with Covid infective to prevent the spread of infection. He said that in the district six private hospitals including Zonal Hospital Dharamshala, Tanda Medical College, Ayurvedic Medical college Paprola are also being provided the facility for treatment of Covid infected and also in Radha Swami Satsang Parour soon for treatment of Covid infected patients with 250 beds capacity, will be made available.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the vaccination campaign is also going on smoothly in the district and 3 lakh 82 thousand 851 vaccines have been conducted in the age group of more than 45 years while online registration has also been started for vaccination in the age group of 18 to 45 years. “after getting more stock of vaccines, people above 18 years will get the facility of vaccines. Meanwhile, I urge the people to stay away from any misconceptions regarding Covid infection and ensure their constructive cooperation to deal with the epidemic of Covid-19 by encouraging social distance, masking and sanatization of hands,” said Prajapati.
