HP School Board Declares Results For Class 10

Dharamshala: Faced with breakdown of school curriculums as the ongoing pandemic disrupts education imparting systems, the HP School Education Board has been able to draw up the results of Class 10 for the 2019-20 batch and make it available online.

The overall pass percentage achieved is 68.11%. In all  1,04,323 students had appeared for the 10th class examination held in March and 70,571 have been declared to have passed it. Another 5,617 are placed under compartment, and will have to clear the subject in which they fell short of the required passing marks. A

A total of 37 have made it to merit by being placed in the first 10 positions. Of the 37, there are 23 girls and 14 boys who are in the first 10 positions.

A board official said that last year the 10th class result had been declared on April 29, but due to Covid-19, there has been a delay in announcing the result this year.

Students who were studying Sanskrit or Urdu are reported to have been given the benefit of passing the subject with writing for the passing exam as the board is reported to have been unable to hold the examination in these subjects because of the pandemic lockdowns.

Dr. Suresh Kumar Soni, chairman of the school board informed that preparations to declare class 12 result have been completed. On June 8, the board successfully conducted the examination in geography subject, which had got postponed earlier.

The class 12th result is expected to be declared in the last week of June.
