Solan: Nine students from Shoolini University in Solan, Himachal Pradesh have been selected for a semester exchange with reputed universities in China, Taiwan and South Korea. These students will be provided full scholarships by their host universities.
University spokesman Suchet Attri disclosed, “among the selected students for Gachon University, South Korea are Anamika, Avinash Rangra, Sheetal, Vaishnavi Sood, and Versha Devi. While Ankit Sharma and Champa will be leaving for China’s Sichuan University and Swati Thakur and Vipul Sharma will be spending the next six months at Taiwan’s Chung Yuan Christian University.”
The students would receive scholarships, which will cover their boarding, lodging and tuition fee expenditure. In addition to the above, students going to China will receive an additional Rs 30,000 per month for food and other expenses.
Apart from studying the course curriculum, the students will also get a chance to learn Korean, and Chinese through short-term language courses.
