New Delhi: Of the five new Indian Instituted of Management institutions proposed to be set up in the country, finance minister Arun Jaitley announced one for Himachal Pradesh, a little while ago.
The other four IIMs are proposed to be set up in Bihar, Punjab, Maharashtra and Odissa.
The finance minister also announced setting up of five new Indian Institutes of Technology in the country. The new IITs are to come up in Jammu, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
Four new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra (Vidarbha), Uttar Pradesh (Purvanchal) were also announced by the finance minister in his maiden budget presented in the Lok Sabha, today.
