Dharamshala:Nationalized Banks have laid out a target of Rs 2389 Cr loans for various sectors in Kangra district for the next financial year.
As the current financial year closes and the next one is on the verge of opening up from April 1, chief lead banker RS Rohil disclosed that of the next year bank loan targets, Rs 2100 crore is to be disbursed in the primary sector and the remaining in other sectors.
In the primary sector, Rs 763 crore is be allocated for agricultural loans and Rs 903 crore for small scale industries.
State run banks have also laid out a target of Rs 434 crore for house and education loans in Kangra, which happens to be the most populous district in Himachal Pradesh.
The years loan targets were announced by Sudesh Moukhta, additional district magistrate in presence of Piyush Chatruvedi, divisional manager Punjab National Bank.
