Shimla: Himachal Pradesh vigilance and anti-corruption bureau booked Bamloe Builders, a little while ago, on a forgery case, violations in forest act laws and evoked several other sections, but made no arrests over constructions of high end apartments in a green belt of the city.
Speaking to Hill Post, AP Singh DIG Vigilance said that an FIR was lodged today against Bamloe Builders under sections 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of India Penal Code (IPC) and section 33 of Forest Act. As of now no arrests have been made, he added.
The case has been made out against the two promoters of Bamloe Builders, Mr Sekhon and Mr Randhawa, said the police officer.
The investigators have stumbled upon signatures of dead persons who are shown as beneficiaries of a road constructed to apartment colony, and persons whose signatures are shown in the application seeking the road have disowned them to their signs, said Singh.
More than 50 violations in the road lay out and its construction, which includes damages to forest land have been booked.
There is also a case of money laundering which has been put before enforcement directorate, a union government’s agency and there is also a case of mismatch between the amount claimed as purchase price of Rs 3 crore and the money received in the sellers’ account which is Rs 2 crore. Either of the two parties are evading taxes on the transaction, investigators claim.
The high end apartment in a forested area are being built by real estate giant DLF and the controversial issue had figured in the state Vidhan Sabha on many occasions and formed part of charges framed by the Congress party against the Prem Kumar Dhumal led BJP government, when it was in the opposition.
