Shimla: To spread ideas worth sharing, TEDx the nonprofit organization is all set to hold TEDxCartRoad conference here, where noted writer Raja Bhasin and well known social worker Sushil Tanwar are scheduled to speak.
Talking to Hill Post, TEDxCartRoad director Arvin Panwar said, “The main motivating force behind the event was to provide a much needed international platform for sharing exceptional and innovative local ideas.
It was also an attempt to create more awareness about TED and TEDx as it would help people of Himachal Pradesh to adapt global ideas to local conditions.
The event is scheduled to be held on August 11 at the century old Gaiety Theater, located in the heart of city.
Besides author, historian Raja Bhasin, social worker Sushil Tanwar, iVolunteer co-founder Rahul Nainwal and Ajay Sohal, one of the youngest mountaineers to scale Mt Everest are scheduled to speak at TEDxCartRoad confernce.
Started 26 years ago in California, TED conferences have grown to support world changing ideas where leading thinkers and innovators have delivered the most inspiring talks to motivate the younger generations.
