Dehra Dun : Even as the Uttarakhand Police has detained a socialite with politic al clout in the alleged murder of Yudhvir Singh Rawat former PRO of agriculture minister Harak Singh Rawat, and are quizzing her and her male accomplice, the family members of the deceased are putting on the minister and the state government that the matter be handed over to the CBI.
Taking into consideration the sensitivity of the case, as a huge sum of money running into lakhs is involved and also the very sanctity of the entrance tests being conducted for medical colleges in the state at stake, the family members feel that there is more to the incident than what meets the eye and the matter needs to be probed thoroughly.
Initial information said that perhaps the woman in question had to return a large sum of money to the deceased as both were involved in admission to MBBS and other courses of various Universities and Colleges in the state. Allegations are that some admissions did not take place whereas the money had exchanged hands and it was demanding that the amount be returned.
It said that the woman had allegedly planned the murder with the help of some male accomplices, and the police are quizzing her about them. Police teams have been sent to Meerut and Muzaffarnagar to locate the said accomplices. The woman, it is alleged had called the deceased to a picture hall in the city from where they had gone to Rajpur, where the murder took place.
Meanwhile the post mortem report is said to have given as injury of the side of the head and strangulation as the possible cause of death.
