Bajwa mourns death of 10 Punjab pilgrims in Himachal accident

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa today deeply mourned the death of 10 pilgrims from Tarn Taran in Punjab in a road accident who were returning from Mairi shrine near Amb in Una district of Himachal Pradesh.

In a statement Bajwa said that he was shocked to hear the news of death of pilgrims. He requested the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadara Singh to extend all possible medical help to the injured pilgrims and assistance in sending the dead bodies of deceased pilgrims to their home town.

He prayed to almighty to give courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss. He also asked the both Punjab and Himachal Pradesh Government to take road safety measures.

  1. This happens every year, police says that they won’t allow overloading in trucks but still it continues every year and people continue to die because no one wants to take action and everyone forgets these accidents within a week untill next one happens and then same process is repeated.
