New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is offering a three-year advanced nursing programme, a varsity official said today.
The entrance exam for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme (OPENNET-III) will be held pan-India Sep 8.
The programme is open for candidates who have passed class 12, have a three-year diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM) and a minimum of two years’ work experience.
“Male nurses who have not pursued the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of six to nine months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council,” said the statement.
The medium of instruction for the course is English. The last date for submitting the admission form is Aug 8, 2013. The form and prospectus are available at IGNOU’s various regional centres for Rs.1,050.
