New Delhi, July 4 (IANS) It was a hot morning in the capital Thursday with the minimum temperature settling at 28.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average. The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day ahead with rain and thunderstorm in some areas.
“The sky will be cloudy with rain and thunderstorm occurring in some areas of the city during the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature in the city is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the official added.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 77 percent.
Wednesday’s maximum and minimum temperature settled a notch below the season’s average at 35.2 and 26.9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The national capital has received a total rainfall of 121.2 mm since the arrival of the monsoon a fortnight ahead of schedule June 16.
