St. Petersburg, June 11 (IANS) Russian star Andrei Arshavin is likely to make a return to his native football club Zenit St. Petersburg for the 2013-14 season.
Zenit has begun negotiations with the 32-year-old Arsenal midfielder, whose contract with the London club expires at the end of June, reports Xinhua.
Arshavin has expressed his availability to begin training with Zenit as soon as he becomes a free agent.
Arshavin left Zenit for Arsenal in 2009 and now appears ready to return home, although questions remain about his motivation both on and off the field as he nears the end of his high-profile career.
