Mumbai, June 15 (IANS) Actress Sonam Kapoor has clarified that she shares a “good” friendship with her “Aisha” co-star Abhay Deol, and says if the case was otherwise and she had problems with him, she wouldn’t have worked with him in the forthcoming “Raanjhanaa”.
Post the 2010 film, Abhay had commented how he felt too much attention was paid to the styling in the movie. That triggered Sonam’s father, actor Anil Kapoor to react, leading to a sort of war of words. However, Sonam says all’s well between her and the actor.
“Abhay and I have been really good friends. We love working with each other, and we are very good friends,” Sonam said here.
“I know what’s going on in his life and he knows what’s going on in my life – we are friends to that extent! I wouldn’t be working with Abhay if I had any problem with him,” she said, adding: “If I don’t like somebody I am very clear about it.”
“Raanjhanaa”, directed by Anand L. Rai, also features southern actor Dhanush in a key role. It releases June 21.
