The aging leader yesterday declared before an election gathering in Karsog, “I have been working 16 hours a day and am hale and hearty. BJP is spreading canards about my health.”
Blaming the chief minister for poor management of the state’s economy since he assumed office in December 2012, leader of the opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal and BJP candidate for Mandi seat Jai Ram Thakur in election meetings have been mentioning Virbhadra not being at his best which was pushing the state into financial chaos.
Much debt has been raised since April as the government is finding it difficult to even pay salaries, said Dhumal at one election meeting.
