New Delhi, June 20 (IANS) Veteran journalist Balraj Mehta died after a prolonged ailment resulting in kidney failure, his family said Thurssday. He was 92.
Mehta, who died Wednesday, started his career with the Patriot. He turned 92 May 18.
A well-known name in economic journalism, he contributed to many newspapers including Indian Express. He was also a regular contributor to the Economic and Political Weekly.
Mehta’s last article was written for the monthly magazine of the Indian Institute of Public Opinion (IIPO) magazine, of which he was the editor, about two months back, his son Raman Mehta told IANS.
Press Club of India will hold a condolence meeting for him Saturday at 5 p.m.
